Post "fast network address translation" kernel option

Hello ..

Can anyone tell me if there is any benefit in compililng the "Fast network address translation" code into the kernel, in the networking options -> advanced router, options in the linux kernel?

Also which other of the 'advanced router' options are adviseable for a linux router box, for a few win xp clients?

My box acts as a router, for Win XP clients... Will this enhance performance, or does it have to be utilised in some way?

Thank you

Duncan
