Failed to determine IP

Hey guys,
I am having a problem. I just installed RH 7.2. When I tried to boot up the system, it failed to determine IP(from my ISP). After I boot up, I went to console and typed ifconfig. But I can't find eth0 listed there. Well, I have checked /etc/sysconfig/devices. There is not eth0 there. I went to checked /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts, it showed that on boot yes and dhcp. Kind of weird. Any idea?

P/S: I am using another computer(winxp), there is not such problem(DHCP).

what network card are u using? try lsmod to list to check if your network card is loaded, if not, try to modprobe for your card module. If still not avail, then probably you have to compile your kernel for your card support.

and look at what dmesg spit.
