exim/fetchmail no mail from POP3 server --->> local user ! help required!

hello,

I am newly shifted from redhat to debian 3.0 and now face problem with exim configuration.

My system.
Debian 3.0

Exim 3.35
mutt 1.3.28i
procmail v3.22
fechmail 5.9.11

I am using an smtp server of my isp to send my email, i.e. my pc is a
satellite with smarthost being that isp`s server. That part is working fine

I use fetchmail to collect emails via POP3, IMAP from different servers. I see messages being downloaded on the system but they are not transfered to the right user.

/var/log/exim/mainlog has entries like
this:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(a great number of frozen messages is
mentioned)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
in /etc/exim/eximconf following entry is set for local delivery:

--------------------------------------------------------
local_delivery:
driver = appendfile
group = mail
mode = 0660
mode_fail_narrower = false
envelope_to_add = true
return_path_add = true
file = /var/spool/mail/${local_part}
---------------------------------------------------------
All files in /var/spool/exim/db/ have mail.mail ownership like:
-rw-r----- 1 mail mail 20480 Apr 3 17:40 retry

in /var/mail/ follwoing ownership for spool file is set
-rw-rw---- 1 realos mail 0 Mar 26 01:23 realos

I am trying to find a solution for this problem but till now in vain. Can
any one give a hint where to look for a possible fix please.

thanks in advance for your help,
