ethtool - Doesn't display settings

When I issue the ethtool command I do not see the settings as expected I only receive the following:

[root ~]# ethtool eth0
Settings for eth0:
Current message level: 0x00000007 (7)
Link detected: yes

[root ~]# ethtool -i eth0
driver: pcnet32
version: 1.31
firmware-version:
bus-info: 0000:00:11.0

What I am expecting to see as on other servers is:

[root(OASIS) ~]# ethtool eth0
Settings for eth0:
Supported ports: [ MII ]
Supported link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full
100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full
1000baseT/Half 1000baseT/Full
Supports auto-negotiation: Yes
Advertised link modes: 10baseT/Half 10baseT/Full
100baseT/Half 100baseT/Full
1000baseT/Half 1000baseT/Full
Advertised auto-negotiation: Yes
Speed: 1000Mb/s
Duplex: Full
Port: Twisted Pair
PHYAD: 1
Transceiver: internal
Auto-negotiation: on
Supports Wake-on: g
Wake-on: d
Current message level: 0x000000ff (255)
Link detected: yes

Any ideas as to why ??

Thanks

I'd rebuild the config and see if that fixes it. That hex string makes me suspect corruption in the configuration or configuration files.
