Ethernet internet and wireless adhoc printer connections simultaneously

Hello to all.

I have the following machine :
laptop : Dell Inspiron E1505
Wireless : Intel Pro Wireless 3945 (ipw3945-1.2.2 + ipw3945d-1.7.22 + ipw3945-ucode-1.14.2)
Printer : HP C4580 Photosmart wireless (hplip-3.9.8)
Ethernet : Broadcom Corporation BCM4401-B0100Base-TX (b44.ko)
External Modem : Siemens CL-110 ADSL
OS : Fedora 6+11 + Ubuntu 9.04 (currently on fc6)

The external modem is connected via the laptop ethernet and provides the internet connection. I am using static IP :
eth0

BCM4401
IPADDR=192.168.1.3
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
GATEWAY=192.168.1.1

CL-110
LAN IP ADDR=192.168.1.1

The printer is connected via wireless adhoc to the laptop's IPW3945 wireless card. I am using static IP :
eth1:0

IPW3945 :
IPADDR=192.168.1.4
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
GATEWAY=192.168.1.5

HPC4580 :
IPADDR=192.168.1.5
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
GATEWAY=192.168.1.4

For some reason my wireless card appears as eth1 and not wlan0 since i added the printer connection for unknown reason.
I also have another wireless connection to a router (eth1:1) which i don't use at the moment.
I probably have messed things up with the IPs as i don't know exactly what i am doing but the 2 connections work great one at a time.
Problem is they don't work simultaneously. The wireless printer connection for some reason drops the ethernet internet.
Is it possible to have them both at the same time?
If so what am i doing wrong?

Thank you in advance.
Regards.

Solved

After finding similar threads i ended up playing around with the ips and changing the hpc4580 and ipw3945 ones (i had probably set 2 different networks in one previously) :

IPW3945 :
IPADDR=192.168.2.4
NETMASK=255.255.255.0

HPC4580 :
IPADDR=192.168.2.5
NETMASK=255.255.255.0

changed 3rd number (1) to (2)
and
deleted gateways

Everything works simultaneously.

firewall block

Hello again.

One more thing left.
It seems that my firewall is blocking the printer connection and so far i disable it everytime i want to print something.
Can anyone write the command(s) to unblock the above wireless adhoc network?
I am using firestarter and so far i have added only a few tcp and udp ports for torrent conectivity as exceptions but cannot imagine what is needed for this adhoc network.

Thank you in advance.
Regards.

Can anyone help?

I have tried to open every possible port via firestarter (according to several other threads) with no luck.
I still cannot connect to my printer when firestarter is enabled.

My printer is set (under system-config-printer) as :
Code:

hp:/net/Photosmart_C4500_series?ip=192.168.2.5
Code:

$ netstat -rn

Try opening the ports using

Code:

system-config-firewall
