eth1: transmit error
if have the following message in my messages.log
eth1: Transmit error, TX status register 82. Probably a duplex mismatch. Flags; busmaster 1, dirty 8484926 current 848 transmit list 0000000 vs. ce175580. HELP! what to do now? |
If it's the only one, don't wory. It's natural in bigger networks.

I don't think this error is common on large networks. The error is suggesting a duplex mismatch. Which would mean that one of the hosts is in half-duplex mode and the other in full-duplex mode. You should make sure they all run in the same duplex mode. Check in the kernel documentation at Documentation/networking for information on your network driver and how to force it to half- or full-duplex mode.

is my nic in my server working wrong? or is a nic in one of my clients not working correct? |
