Eth0 install Intel Pro/1000 adapter

I installed a fresh copy of Redhat ES onto a new Dell Poweredge 700 server and the Ethernet card wasnt detected and installed. Once I installed the card manually I was unable to activate the card and I receive a message that eth0 wasnt found.

How can I get Redhat to discover this hardware and install it?

I had very bad experiences with Intel Pro*, so I added a new networkcard.
It should be possible to get it work, but I had no time and a new card was cheaper and more reliable.

Sorry.
