Unhappy error on boot up: Bringing up loopback interface


Im having problem booting up!

It stacks to Bringing up loopback interface:...then if i press ctrlaltdel
it stops on modprobe:Can't locate module ppp0.

Kindly please help mo on this.

What type of NIC do you have? What distro are you using? You might get a long pause while 'bringing up eth0' especially if you aren't connected to any kind of network. ctrl+alt+del is the combo for reboot. yes, even in linux

im using 2 lan cardsmfor my public and internal ip.

On board LAN - Intel EtherExpress Pro100B
PCI - 3Com 3c590
