Please only post to one forum. The moderators are going to kick your ....

Try:-
Code:

yum clean all
Then re-attempt your update.

Can you show us the content of your "/etc/yum.repos.d/fedora.repo" file?

billymayday 05-06-2009 12:16 AM

Were the Fedora mirrors moved as a result of the Debian key fiasco? That may be the root cause.

When did you last use yum on this system?

this is the output :

This is what mine looks like. Try replacing yours with this (rename existing, create new, yada yada...).
Code:

[fedora]
name=Fedora $releasever - $basearch
failovermethod=priority
#baseurl=http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/$releasever/Everything/$basearch/os/
mirrorlist=http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=fedora-$releasever&arch=$basearch
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-$basearch

[fedora-debuginfo]
name=Fedora $releasever - $basearch - Debug
failovermethod=priority
#baseurl=http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/$releasever/Everything/$basearch/debug/
mirrorlist=http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=fedora-debug-$releasever&arch=$basearch
enabled=0
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-fedora-$basearch

[fedora-source]
name=Fedora $releasever - Source

mirrorlist=http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=fedora-source-$releasever&arch=$basearch
enabled=0
gpgcheck=1

Can you get anything on the net?

What happens if you put "http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mirrorlist?repo=fedora-9&arch=i386" into your browser? You should get a mirror list (at least it works for me).

sonyerricsonk750i 05-06-2009 12:58 AM

in browser i got this list

# repo = fedora-9 arch = i386 country = RU country = JP country = HK country = MY country = CY country = KR country = SG country = TW country = TR country = TH

http://ftp.twaren.net/Linux/Fedora/l...thing/i386/os/
http://ftp.chg.ru/pub/Linux/fedora/l...thing/i386/os/

then why its not working while yum update or i cant use pidgin or i can install any?

billymayday 05-06-2009 01:30 AM

As an experiment, for [fedora], try commenting out the mirrorlist line and uncomment the baseurl line. Only try it for this one in the first instance (since the others are enabled anyway).
