error 550 in mail.log (postfix + cyrus imapd)
hello everybody, i am trying to configure a mail server (using postfix as MTA and Cyrus-imapd) it looks that everything is fine.. i have disabled the dns lookups because this is a testing server for sending / receiving email from system local accounts, however when i send a message i get the following error in mail.log:
Jan 24 01:51:34 localhost postfix/lmtp: 86C4C1525A: to=<firstname.lastname@example.org>, orig_to=<email@example.com>, relay=/var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp[/var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp], delay=19, status=bounced (host /var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp[/var/run/cyrus/socket/lmtp] said: 550-Mailbox unknown. Either there is no mailbox associated with this 550-name or you do not have authorization to see it. 550 5.1.1 User unknown (in reply to RCPT TO command))
(account gaban06 exists in my system, is my username)
my /etc/hosts file contains:
127.0.0.1 j9zj10b.com mail.j9zj10b.com
when i use postfix with procmail it works fine, but i want to install cyrus imapd to be able to retrieve / send the emails just not from the shell, but from an email client (i.e. mozilla thunderbird)
where do i must put the allowed users? why i am receiving an error?
if its necessary to post my main.cf file from postfix or anything else i will,
I've looked on the net, but i cant figure out myself what to do exactly, configurations everywhere sockets, etc. and now this. !!!!
