Erratic throughput on NetLink BCM5784M Gigabit Ethernet PCIe with tg3 driver

Hi All,

Having a odd issue with my wired connection. I'm connecting and able to browse the Internet, home LAN etc.

The odd thing is that I cannot maintain a steady throughput of data... I go from 15MiB/s down to 0 and back again every few seconds. Link to screenshot below.

Oddly, or perhaps not... Wireless works 100%.

Searched and searched but cannot find someone having the same issue and I'm stumped!

Running: Ubuntu 9.04 (64 bit)

Some additional input:

> IPv6 now disabled, same problem.
> Tried Ubuntu 8.04 LTS live CD and same symptoms experienced.

I have the same problem with this hardware with an acer laptop...

Sadly no... I've put some time aside next week to research this further and will update if I do find something. It's a tough one, very niche issue by the looks of it. If you come across anything, please do let me know.
