2. Run these commands in the terminal, in sequential order:
Code:
tar -xjf gyach-install.tar.bz2
cd gyach
sudo ./install
This did not work for me to install gyach on Fedora Core 3. What did work, however, was to save the gyach-install.tar.bz2 file to /root as root and then extracting and install without the sudo stuff:
Still doesn't work, I've tried gyach on fedora, redhat 9, slackware, and debian, at least under ubuntu (which is just a nicer version of debian), the program launches and I can chat, but I still can't get the voice chat system to work. Most of the time, the voice client won't even load, sometimes the client will load but just won't do anything.
Has anybody had any luck getting voice to work in any way, and not just with gyach? I once heard of someone somehow using skype with gaim, but even after some extensive searching I still haven't been able to find out how (or remember who told me they were doing it).
