Emergency Shutdown

Hiw can I do an emergency shutdown of all the servers on my private network from one console? I have complete access to everything. I know I can write a script using ssh commands but I was hoping there is a more elegant way of doig this.

You could try the Konsole(Terminal emulator that comes with KDE) session profile feature.
Here's how I do it:
First load up Konsole, open up same number of tabbed sessions as the number of servers you want to control.
Then do Settings-Save Profile, save it as say "allservers".
Now go to ~/.kde/share/apps/konsole/profiles/, open up the saved session file, edit the entries for "ArgsX=-bash" so they look like
Code:
Args0=-bash,-c,ssh server1
Args1=-bash,-c,ssh server2
Args2=-bash,-c,ssh server3
...
...
and so on
Next time you load up konsole with "konsole --profile allserver" every tabbed session will launch ssh logins to various servers automatically. Then you can just right click on any tab, select "Send Input to All Session", and issue your command, ie "poweroff".
