easy debian openvpn setup article
Can some one please point me to a good article for setting up a simple openvpn client and server. I want to setup a vpn using my debian sarge thinkpad and a debian sarge desktop. The desktop is on my home network and I use the laptop while traveling. Basicly I want to connect to the desktop via vpn then out to the internet via my home network. The desktop is behind a NAT router but I can DMZ it if that makes things easier. The only thing I will be using desktop for is this vpn. If it gets cracked I will just format and reinstall. My main goal is to be able to use wifi hotspots with my laptop over vpn for security.

http://tips.linux.com/article.pl?sid=06/11/07/213217 Now I don't know if thew are easy.. A vpn setup is not a so easy task... When I installed my openvpn, I just read the README or HOWTO contained in the archive or on the website. There are 2 modes: bridge and router. Bridge is harder to setup if I remember, try the router method if you can. |
