dynamically register ip address to windows 2000 dns

I have a linux workstation that uses DHCP to get it's IP address. What I need to do is have it register it's IP address to the Windows 2000 DNS server. I know that in windows 2000, there is a check box called "Register this connection's addresses in DNS".
