dynamic network views


I got a question

on my work we have around 50 computers on a network
now I need a program that scans every computer and their /proc/meminfo

and displays that like every hour or something
can anyone help me, if this is possible

you may be able to do this with MRTG assuming that you can get the info into a SNMP string or something similar, if not I guess you could get all the machine to send the info to one machine and let that gathe the info again with MRTG

well I will try to use that for the network traffic
you got something similar so that my /proc/meminfo can be displayed like this aswell?

what options should I use to configure mrtg???

the MRTG Site has details of config files people have used to monitor all sorts of different thing, also on the source is a contrib directory which includes a number of different example configs.
