Hey guys, I am new here looking for a little help. I have been working in networking for years professionally, but I am still a bit of a linux noob. I have had multiple linux boxes over the years and a class or 2 in college on UNIX, but I am not a expert.
Anyway what I am looking to do is setup a linux Box to be my home router with Dual WAN and load balancing. I would like it to take in 2 DHCP based residential internet connections (i.e. cable/cable or cable/dsl) and output them to a LAN. I would like to use a 3 NIC setup with 2 NICs dedicated to WAN and 1 for LAN going out to a switch. I have seen multiple premade pieces of software like ClarkConnect, pfSence, and all the others... but really I was hoping to have it be a regular Linux box/server as well. Also I was hoping to do some of the configuration myself to get the experience with it.
I guess what I am looking for is some walkthrough or How To guide on this type of setup I am trying to do. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. I did find some guides on google close to this, but I didn't see any exact ones that supported DHCP WAN connections with 3 NICs & load balancing.
