gmrvos LQ Newbie Registered: Jun 2001 Posts: 1 Rep:	I'm using Mandrake 8 and trying to install the Alcatel Speedtouch ADSL modem. It uses USB and they have a driver on their homepage which then directs you to source forge for kernel patches atm over ppp patches,etc. With Mandrake 8 I can't successfully install the kernel patches or get the modem working. Just wondering has anyone else got this combination to work? Author had used any earlier version of the kernel. 2.4.2 and V8 ships with 2.4.3 I greatly appreciate any help or suggestions anyone can offer. Thanks!
