DSL probs w/ Mandrake 9.0
 

I just installed mandrake 9.0 (this is my first time installing linux, ive used FreeBSD at school). Anyways, when it was installing it had me config the networking, i have dsl provided by earthlink. I then selected ppoe. In the setup box you enter the provider, the dns?, and ur account name and pw. I put in earthlink.net, dont know what dns is or if i need it since it said optional, and i filled out my account info. Then when setting up my network card it asked for my ip adress, the subnet mask and something else. Ive tried a few times with no luck to get it running. Could someone walk me through setting up my DSL so I can make linux my primary os :)

Mandrake 9 is still a sort of beta and there are still a few issues.

I figured that you would have to "jump" into the script and edit and fix some things. I just don't know how to go about doing that, especially working in 8.2 and trying someone how to do it in 9.0.:D

well what should I do for the DNS adresses? My ip adress? ....
