Driver Installation problems on SUSE Server
Greetings,
I confess to being a newbie and am starting with SUSE Server.
I installed this with no problem on a Gateway computer with an Intel Nimitz 2 motherboard. Unfortunately the network card is built onto the motherboard. The Gateway website recommends drivers for a Intel Pro 1000 or a Pro 100 for this system.
I downloaded two Linux driver files from the Intel website, and followed the instructions until the part where I tried to "make install" which errors on the line "Makefile:89: *** Linux kernel source not found. Stop."
which corresponds the the Makefile trying to find the Kernel location.
All this comes about because SUSE does not recognize the builtin network card.
Any help compiling this would be helpful. Any other suggestions would also be helpful.
