does samba work with winXP?

I have linux on one comp, and Windows XP on the other, and Id like to know if will work on this kinda network setup. So far, I havent been able to get it to work, although as far as I know, It should be up and running smoothly.

I have a samba pdc setup. I was able to join the machine to the domain with no problems. However there is a registry key in WinXP that will need to be changed before you can logon to the domain.

Actually, I'm running Samba 2.2.0a and it communicates with WinXP Home just fine (without any modifications to configuration settings).

i have slackware 8.0 with samba running and i see xp and it can see me also with no problem!
