DNS timeout


Hey, lately i am getting DNS Timeout (from my DNS Server) when i try to send an email to some hosts (this only affect some hosts, others are inaffected).

Fedora 6 - DNS Server: bind

So what shows if you query manually using their ISP's DNS server? And from another server (DNSstuff or equiv)? If you send to these hosts regularly (and you're not sending spam, sorry had to say it, implies nothing), even thought of setting up a proper caching DNS server (like Pdnsd) or (if there are a few hosts with static IP addresses) putting them in your /etc/hosts?
