DNS or DHCP problem

I've installed a DNS and DHCP server in my network and all the users are using it. Some users are normal, but some WinXP and Win2k users have the system too slow and when I take off the network cable, the system turns fast again...does anybody knows what can be?

Sounds like a problem with the XP / Win2K hosts them selves and not DNS or DHCP..

Frst try opening Task Manager, unplugging and plugging back in the cable.. see if any process spikes up.

If not, then rebuild the TCP/IP stack, and the WINS stack.

for XP TCP/IP try:

netsh int ip reset c:\ipreset.txt
then
netsh winsock reset
Reboot and check
