DNS not resolving private ip

Hi,

i have setup DNS in linux box for private ip resolution. I have a helpdesk software which sends me an email when the ticket is closed by the user automatically. Now i am observing that it is not sending an email after the ticket is being closed. But when i restart the server i am getting emails of tickets which are closed at the time.

Please let me know if anybody have an idea of the problem and solution.

does that mean a reboot of your computer or restart of service bind (DNS or network )if it is a second case then you might need to add a kernel patch tell the version of kernel and dns that you are using
are you using a caching server try to clean the cash
