DNS caching can improve the Internet usage experience for anyone, regardless of whether it's a stand-alone machine or a network with thousands of hosts. Not sure what you mean about learning. I've got
dnsmasq installed to do caching for my house and I haven't learned anything from it. Perhaps it's due to me not making use of any of its more advanced features.
