Hi folks,
a

here!!!
I was just trying to get my DLink DWL 520+ card to work under Linux. First I had to ditch the Mandrake 9.0 distro and stick in Mandrake 8.2 to get the acx100_pci.o module running which I got from the Linux DLink HowTo from panxer. All that seemed to go fine, and i installed the wireless tools that allow me to set the options for the new wlan0 using iwconfig and all. But the problem is that the wireless net in my building is configured for Infrastructure or Managed mode and I need the card to retrieve the ip address from the dhcp server. Problem is that when I run dhcpcd on the wlan0, the logs says it just times out. And then i check the wlan0 status using iwconfig only to find that my hard typed ssid is messed up and everything weird. Either the dhcpcd shut down the acx100_pci module because after doing a ifconfig wlan0 up, its all up and running with the default parameters (ESSID= "Wesley")
Any idea whats going on, an appeal to all the linux gurus out there!! HEEEEEEEELLP!!!
