Disable beacons of my WLAN card

Hi everybody!

I know this is a strange question.
I'm planning to use my WLAN card as a raw transmitter, that is, completely disabling it and only sending info when I want, through C socket programming.

I'm almost there, in fact it works, but the card is constantly sending what I guess are beacons, each 200 milliseconds. Obviously they mess the whole thing. See the attachment, showing these beacons (not sending my data in this picture).

Do you know the way to get rid of these signals? I've checked wlanconfig option called "nosbeacon" but it seems it is only for cards behaving as AP, not stations.

I'm using madwifi. Here is the output of dmesg:

[ 10.846441] MadWifi: ath_attach: Switching rfkill capability off.
[ 13.731754] ath_pci: wifi0: Atheros 5212: mem=0xe8120000, irq=5
[ 28.844035] ath0: no IPv6 routers present

Any idea? I know madwifi is kind of old, do you have any hint about doing a similar thing in the new ath9k? Is this possible?

Thanks a lot for your time!
