Direct Connect QT ( Connection Problems )

I recently installed Direct Connect for Linux, dcgui-qt. Eerything with the interface etc works fine. I am able to retrieve a hub list and recieve a minimal amount of data from the chat server. But every time I atempt to connect to a hub I get errors like these:

[16:00:18] <DCGUI> Connected
[16:00:18] <DCGUI> Hubname change: 'dc.cif.rochester.edu' -> 'U of R Open DC Hub'
[16:00:18] <Hub-Security> This hub is running version 0.7.12 of Open DC Hub.
[16:00:18] <DCGUI> Error: 'Connection reset by peer'
[16:00:18] <DCGUI> Disconnected

or

[16:00:18] <DCGUI> Error: 'Sucess'
[16:00:18] <DCGUI> Disconnected

Originaly I thought this was becuase of my iptables but I removed all filters and the problem still persits. I am running RedHat 9 and I am on a college network. I have tried both active and passive modes with no luck. Wondering if anyone has had the same experience and has a solution.

Thanks

Maybe the college is blocking access to DC.

Did you ever get this solved? If so, what was the problem?

I'm in the same situation. I get the " Error: 'Success' ".

I'm on a college network, and attempting to connect to a dc hub that is inside the network.

Thanks.

Try switching to passive mode and see if that helps
