did traffic go through proxychains?

i'm trying to get tsocks or proxychains to work. when i start a small php webscript through proxychains, i get an error, but the information returns from the php script anyway.

how can i tell if the php program was sent through the port i have configured with proxychains, or if it was sent through another?
