DHCP and Static on Debian. Two NIC cards
 
Hi

I am a newbie so please mention in detail.

in my Debian box, I have two NIC cards, one with DHCP and another with Static. I have already received DHCP IP on eth0 but after I save the static IP on eth1, it doesnt stay for more than couple of minutes after the service networking restart command.

how can I keep both the NIC cards continue to have IP addresses; dhcp IP for one and Static for another?
