Hey, I finaly installed LFS 6.1.1 sucessfully after three goes. I want to setup my internet connection so I can read the BLFS book. I installed Lynx sucessfully, and downloaded dhcp packages from LFS' site. I configured, make, and make install. Configured the conf files, and ran dhclient. Now, I don't remember exacly what it says, but it says something like "fallingback Socket\something"...tho I"m not 100% sure. Any tips/ideas on how to get it setup? The way my network is setup is, my dad has a server here at our house which gives out the 192.168.*.* addresses automaticaly. So in my dhclient.conf do I need to set the domain-name-servers to that servers local ip?
ok, I installed dhcpcd and got that configured. Now whenever I boot linux, it says that cannot find device eth0 [WARN]...my network device is lynksys wireless, which connects to my home network...
