>/dev/null

I got IP MASQ working finally, but now when I'm working on the console, it dumps all kinds of info to the screen when I'm trying to type. It displays MAC IP PORT all kinds of addresses and stuff. How can I redirect this crap to /dev/null? It's really frustrating! THanks.

When you setup your rules, with the -J LOG did you specify a --log-level debug ? Your choices are something like: debug, info, notice, warn, err...

Whatever you set the level at, check the /etc/syslogd.conf file for the level. Change the *.debug, or the level you set to be a file other than /dev/console.

they're all pointing at /usr/adm/syslog or debug or messages ..... they're not pointed at /dev/console ..... is there somewhere else I should look?

What do you have chosen for your --log-level in your iptables calls?

I finnally got the output of the problem :
fp=TCP:1 a=DROP IN=eth0 OUT= MAC=00:e0:29:7e:8e:3e:00:04:28:27:18:54:08:00
SRC=24.240.147.63 DST=68.49.220.239 LEN=52 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=49 ID=25638 DF

PROTO=TCP SPT=3026 DPT=6346 WINDOW=60352 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0

keeps popping up on me when I'm in the console and gets in my way. Where is this BS coming from?!?? Somettimes these numbers are different, but it always looks the same
