Quote:
Determining IP information for eth1... failed; no >link present. Check cable?
At times i need to restart the server and need it ready online once it boots up. However eth1 does not come up. (my eth0 isnt plugged into the switch)

How do i fix this on bootup?

Hi i solved it.
I realise i plugged the cable to eth0 (which is disabled)..

then i went to make changes in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup-eth1 and ifup-eth0
and edited ONBOOT=yes to eth0 and ONBOOT=no to eth1

Sorry.
