Question Destination files different to the source are not being deleted with Grsync

Hi.

The destination files different on my NTFS formatted external HDD to the source (my Ext4 formatted main PC) are not being deleted with Grsync.

I have similar settings with my laptop (Ext4) and PC but all files different to the source are deleted when syncing.

Is the NTFS file format the problem? How can this be solved?

Thanks.

Question

In the first image above - should there be trailing slashes at the end of both source and destination?

Lightbulb

A trailing slash seemed to be the problem.

Question

The issue comes back again unless I exclude ".*". Why is that?

This is the command in Grsync
rsync -r -t -v --progress --delete -l --exclude-from=/home/roy/Documents/IT/Net/GRsync/Exclude-List.txt /home/roy/ /media/roy/ExtHDD/Roy/

I added ".ecryptfs" to the exclude list. That seemed to be the problem. Adding other root permission home directory folders may also help.
