del 127.0.01 problem

I incidently changed "/etc/mail/sendmail.mc", remake it and restart
sendmail service, the sendmail does work as I expect a couple days
ago; no I try to undo my change on sendmail.mc, unfortunately I forgot
how to remake sendmail.mc to allow the new setup take effect, pls
help me on how to make it (the exact command)?

The only change I made is add "del 127.0.01", and that make me
sendmail does not work properly, pls also inform mw why?

Thx,
HTM]

Well, I have no idea what you are talking about, but I am fairly sure you meant that to be the loop back IP:

127.0.0.1

not

127.0.01

I can't figure out from your post what you are trying to do though.

Edit "etc/mail/sendmail.mc" correct your changes

As root "make -C /etc/mail"

As root "/etc/rc.d/init.d/sendmail restart" which will stop and restart sendmail

Hope this helps

Pete

Pete,

I did as what you told me? How to test sendmail works? Looks like it's still
broken, but obviously I did not touch anything alse. Right now I tried send email out,
but I could not receive the email?

Why?

Thx,
HTM
