Debian (squeeze) MadWifi D-Link wireless card DWL-G650 not recognizied
Hi Folks,
I have just installed Debian (squeeze) on an old Dell cpt and I am using MadWifi drivers to install a DWL-g650 wireless card. Post installation I ran modprobe ath_pci running dmesg I get some errors, one is "[ 313.683522] ath_hal: module license 'proprietary' taints kernel ar5210, ar5211, ar5416,..." , in /etc/modprobe.d/ "madwifi.conf" I uncommented ath_hal running "ath_pci" again same error comes up. Still the card is not recognized when I do dmesg, the following messages appear, it is related to the wireless card because the same error appears when I remove and plug the card back in. "PCI: Error while updating region 0000:06:00.0/0 (2c000000 != 00000000), when I do a lspci -v the card is identified as "Ethernet controller: Device 160c :0013 (rev 01) Subsystem: Via Technologies, Inc. Device 3282 Flags: medium devsel, IRQ 11 [virtual] memory at 2c000000 (32 bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K] Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2", any thoughts?
Thanks
