ddclient config for netgear rp614 router

Hi.

I raised this topic in other thread but since the original question was vey different, not many people responded to it. So I am asking the same question here.

I am using RH 8.0 with apache server. I am trying to use ddclient to use zoneedit.com's dynamic dns service. I, however, cannot configure ddclient with my netgear rp614 router.

http://freshmeat.net/projects/ddclie...50%2C152%2C253
On this page, one guy explains the setting for rp614, but this setting does not seem to work for me. Or maybe something else is wrong with my server. So, I want to know if anyone else has configured ddclient for rp614 correctly.

Or, if you have developed some other script to update ip address, can you share that script?

Thanks.

for what its worth.. this script should work regardless of the dsl/cable router you are useing.. and as long as your useing dyndns.org DNS.

######################################################################
## A ddclient config, that does not matter what cable/dsl router you
## have.
## This set up is for a Custom dyndns DNS entry.
## You would need to edit, lines 10, 20, 21, 22, 23 & 32
##
######################################################################
daemon=300 # check every 300 seconds
syslog=yes # log update msgs to syslog
mail=Local-mail-account # mail update msgs to root
pid=/var/run/ddclient.pid # record PID in file.

## To obtain an IP address from Web status page (using the proxy if defined)
use=web, web=http://checkip.dyndns.org/, web-skip='IP Address' # found after IP Address

protocol=dyndns2 # default protocol

server=members.dyndns.org # default server

login=mydnydns-usrename # default login
password=mydnydns-password # default password
mx=fooobar.com # host is primary MX?
wildcard=no # add wildcard CNAME?

## dyndns.org custom addresses
##
## (supports variables: wildcard,mx,backupmx)
##
custom=yes \
server=members.dyndns.org, \
protocol=dyndns2 \
fooobar.com
