Cups Networking issue delayed printing.

Hi guys,

Running Suse 10.2 (64) HP PSC 1310 Printer on 4600+ Gigabyte MOBO 2GB ram. The mentioned computer is the server. My laptop is the client requesting print jobs to the server via CUPS IPP. Both computers run suse 10.2 with the laptop running 32 Bit. Printing window is delayed by about 42 seconds regardless of the job when I press print. A few times I have managed to get it to print within a reasonable amount of time, however it is unreliable. Any Ideas???

Thanx

Are you running the print queue in RAW mode? I would recommend to run it RAW since it is the fastest mode. Else CUPS has to convert the printing formats and that is why it may be taking longer.

You have to modify the printer and select RAW
