Connection refused by [127.0.0.1]


Hi

i have sendmail on RH9 configured now but i'm not recieveing any logs or notifications?

when i look in the maillog i see:

Sep 2 18:05:11 custard sm-msp-queue[3419]: h7U3ixxL004439: to=root, delay=3+13:
20:10, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, pri=7685336, relay=[127.0.0.1], dsn=4.0.0,
stat=Deferred: Connection refused by [127.0.0.1]

any ideas?

do you have the iptables firewall turned on? is it blocking any incoming sendmail requests?

when i went through the setup i said to turn firewall off.

i'm going to try telneting to 127.0.0.1 on port 25 tonight and see what happens

nah inetrnal, external and incomming email works fine?

fixed it again

i added this line under my public reference in my sendmail.mc file

DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')

worked for me

just got a 100 log files emailed to me! LOL!
