Connecting a laptop with no wireless card to another laptop

I have a laptop without a wireless card that I would like to be able to have internet from. Only problem is the router is way to far away to run an ethernet. Would it be possible to connect the two computers (one being on a wireless connection) with an ethernet to give the laptop with no wireless card a internet connection? The laptop that is on the wireless is running ubuntu and the laptop without the wireless card is windows 7

The easiest way would be to buy a cheap USB wireless adapter, I would think. You can get them under 10$. But I am wondering about a laptop that is capable to run Windows 7 and doesn't have a wireless adapter. Please post make and model, I am really curious.

it's an asus g50vt. I removed it a while back for security reasons. I can't figure out how to connect the 3 wires that go to it and it's not letting me install the driver... i'd be using it as a desktop anyways.
