Connected to router, but not able to access internet.

Hi. I set up a slackware box yesterday and have been reading the slack book to teach myself. Today I got to the point where I would configure my network access. I had no problem loading the module for my card. My network setup is modem-ipcop firewall/dhcp server/router- router(all routing capabilites have been stripped,it's used strictly as an access point)-computer. I can ping the ipcop box (192.168.0.1) with no problem, and my ipcop box shows that it has leased an address to the computer. However,I can't access the internet. I have tried pinging ips,so I know it's probably not a dns problem. I have also set the gateway in rc.inet1.conf to 192.168.0.1. I used netconfig to configure everything. Thanks for your help.

Hi. It turns out that all I needed to do was restart the computer .I'm used to windows where a restart isn't required. Everything works now. Sorry about the uneeded post.

i can promise you that you would not have needed to reboot. that is the windows way, not linux.
