connect to remote linux system


I have a arm board where qtopia installed. there is no ssh or scp installed . how can i connect my board to my linux desktop.

Hello,
At least a telnet daemon is necessary. Then you can connect via telnet over network.
If this board has a serial port (and the correct entries in /etc/inittab), then it should be possible to connect over this port with a terminal program (minicom)

thanks, It has rj45 port and i can ping to my desktop but can not access remote files. I tried ftp but it shows "550 can not open file" as error.
