Connect to Internet
 

I installed Ubuntu and cannot find how to connect to the internet using ADSL PPPOE. My ISP could not help because they do not support Linux. Can any one direct me to a connection wizard, or other way to connect?

I am getting very discouraged. I am trying to change from Windows to Linux. I have been told support is very good and I could get all the help I need. I have posted threads on Ubuntu Forums, Linuxquestions.org, MEPIS forums, and at least two others asking for help. I haven't gotten any. So I guess I will just give up and keep the XP. At least I can get some help with it.

Don't give up yet, your first post and second post are less than two hours apart.

Have you got a router? Or is this a direct connection to the internet? Who is your ISP? Different ISP's use different setups. Provide some information and it will work.

I run Xubuntu, but mine goes through a router. I configured the router once, and now I have six systems, some windbloze and some linux all working.
