Connect online ubuntu 8.0 disconnect after 2 min error 15 no response to echo
 
I connect in terminal,the only way I could find. I connect, get on internet about 2 min. then get error. Am using usb motoq9 smart phone.
dialout with:
$ sudo wvdial

Do other usb devices have the same symptoms(stop working after a very short period of time), or is it just the phone?
Try posting the tail of dmesg after it fails - if its more than just the modem that mess up you may have some kernel-flag playing ahead of you.(ie: irqpoll pci=routeirq noacpi [I'd recommend against using any of these until you research/browse the threads here for what they do])....
