Question Connect my RH 9.0 Linux system to a work MS Network

Well, I'm trying to be a bleeding edge newbie and make a switch from MS XP to Linux on my work machine. The printers in my office are all hanging off of the work MS Network. When I booted up XP, I logged on to a domain on the work network that would give me access to the printers. How would I go about logging on to that domain from Linux?

Someone pointed me to Samba, but what I can figure, Samba is more oriented to the other direction (MS to Linux). I want to go Linux to MS.

Thanks to any that can give me a clue...

Mark

Samba is both client and server for communicating with the smb protocol.

If you want to set up the printer then you are probably better using the CUPS web interface:
1) Make sure cups is started:
service cups restart
2) Access the admin page
http://127.0.0.1:631/
3) Follow the onscreen instructions for adding a printer - when choosing the conenction type select "smb"
