Configured eth0 but ppp1 starts

Hi,
I installed Slackware 10 and its great.
My NIC was recognized, its a Realtek RTL-8139
I use PPPoE so I did "adsl-setup"
There I set everything and I set it to connect over eth0, then "adsl-start", all seems fine and then "adsl-status" because I canīt get into any webpage like this....
adsl-status:
Link is up and running on interface ppp1
ppp1 Lin encap: Point-to-Point Protocol
inet addr: 200.125.28.39 P-t-P: 200.40.19.100 Mask: 255.255.255.255
+ other stuff I that wonīt help....

So why doesnīt it use eth0??!

So I went to the KDE- Info Center and there to Network Interface:
There it lists
eth0 192.168.1.25 Network Mask=255.255.255.0 Type=Broadcast Status=UP
lo = localhost, I think I donīt have to list this here....
ppp0
ppp1 both with Type=Point-to-Point

eth0 has the IP and Network Mask I need because I have to connect to my WLAN-Router (altough I use a cable) over that IP.
But why doesnīt it use eth0?!! In /dev I canīt find eth0, just ppp1

So what should I do?
I did "netconfig" where I set the IP and Netmask to the ones I need...but nothing...
In KDE I canīt find out if the Realtek Card really is eth0, but I think it should be that one, right?
So please help...Thanks,
fedivh

I am guessing your using a DSL broadband internet connection but I do not understand how your PC is connected? What is connected to the modem and what to the router? A ppp connection will use a ppp interface but if your connecting to the router then the pppoe is handled by the router and you do not need to run it (i.e. dsl-start etc) on the PC.
