configure telnet and kerberos

I have Redhat 4.0 ES and need to get telnet to work with kerberos. I have ssh, gdm, ftp all working with kerberos and I've started krb5-telnet started. I login, but it doesn't work. I'm assuming that I need to do something in /etc/pam.d or something to get it to work.

First ask your self why you need telnet if you can use ssh (ssh does the same as telnet but is more secure)

Follow the link below;, "sergej" seems to have the right answer.

I have no choice. The client software is telnet base. They have a beta that supports ssh, but it not ready for release yet. So in the mean time I have to setup telnet kerberos.

That didn't work. I'm not concerned about logging in as "root" I'm trying to log in as a user that is both on the Linux and Active directory.

I'm getting this error when I log in.

Key table entry not found while verifying initial ticket

When I login using ssh or vnc I get a key that I can see using klist, but not when I telnet.
