Configure Gateway server in Ubuntu ( 11.10 )
Hi,
I have a requirement as follows. I have one ubuntu ( 11.10 ) machine having two ethernet ports and one eth0 - Connected to internet and eth1 connected to private network . I have n number of IP phones and client machines in my private network . My requirement is to configure my ubuntu as gateway server for providing internet to my private network. I could configure DHCP service on Ubuntu which is capable of providing IP,netmask, gateway and name server information to client. Can any one please tell me the steps for configuring gateway server . Thanks in advance. Sijeesh KT |
This is way to much to explain in a forum post..
I would suggest reading http://lartc.org/howto/ and then ask specific questions for issues you dont understand... |

http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/w...Using_iptables is a good intro to iptables.
If you get stuck, ask specific questions and people may be able to help you... |
