config netdsl-800 usb suse8.0

Hi. I'm new to linux and want to configure a netdsl-800 modem with suse 8.0. The problem is that I know almost nothing about networking. I don't know if it's a ADSL or TDSL modem and if I should configure it using PPPoe or whatever....

Although you can find that information from sniffing packets across the network you should probably find that information out from whoever you're getting service through. Then once you have that it will be easier to help you.
