Conditionally mounting nfs shares
 

Hello, and thanks in advance.

I want to know if it is possible to conditionally mount an nfs share at boot time depending on wether
there is an active eth0 connection. I am connecting a laptop to our home network and want to set
fstab to auto, but if I am not connected to our network then it takes for ever to boot.

Have a look at autofs/subfs/automount (any one of those) then the share will only be mounted when you move into it.
